Rufous Humming bird....

Hot off the presses.....just captured this...if you click on the photo it will enlarge and you can appreciate the iridescence in the plumage of this bird....

    Such a gorgeous hummer. We get the ruby crowned around here but that's about it. Glad I found your blog.

    We get the ruby throated humingbird at our cottage and your are right, the male has all the color...ciao

    Nice capture of the Rufous Hummingbird Mary Anne. You are of to a great start bird blogging.

    I imagine you are a nurse. I am an Xray tech (Special Procedures) in northern California and love my profession. Birding is my passion and my main means of relaxation too.
